Elipse International Ltd is pleased to announce the successful acquisition of Alsar Nigeria Ltd, following the completion of an outright purchase on 11 December 2021.
Alsar Nigeria Ltd previously operated as a mineral processing company with a focus on kaolin and dolomite processing. The company was formerly owned by a Chilean investor that subsequently exited the Nigerian mining market.
The acquisition represents an important step in Elipse International Ltd’s broader strategy to expand its mineral processing capabilities and strengthen its position within Nigeria’s mining and solid minerals sector.
Following the acquisition, Elipse International Ltd commenced plans to reposition and convert the facility into a dedicated base metals processing plant, supporting the Company’s growing interests in minerals such as lead, zinc, copper and other commercially significant base metals.

The planned conversion is designed to increase local processing capacity, improve operational efficiency and support Elipse International Ltd’s long-term objective of building an integrated mining and mineral processing business in Nigeria.
This investment also reflects the Company’s commitment to local value addition, industrial development, employment creation and the development of stronger domestic mineral-processing infrastructure.
Through the acquisition and redevelopment of the Alsar facility, Elipse International Ltd aims to create additional value for its stakeholders while contributing meaningfully to the continued growth and diversification of Nigeria’s mining industry.
The Company appreciates the continued support of its employees, business partners, host communities and other stakeholders as it advances the transformation of the facility and continues building a stronger platform for future mineral production and processing in Nigeria.
