In July 2022, as part of its commitment to responsible mining, sustainable community development and shared prosperity, Elipse Group Ltd, through its subsidiaries Elipse Industries Ltd and Elipse International Ltd, implemented a series of social impact projects benefiting the people of Gidan Angulu and Zagah communities in Bali Local Government Area of Taraba State.
Recognising that access to safe drinking water remained one of the most pressing needs of the communities, Elipse contracted professional water-drilling services and provided five boreholes in each community. The intervention delivered access to drinkable water and represented a major improvement in the quality of life for residents of Gidan Angulu and Zagah.
The Group also provided 150 solar-powered streetlights, strategically installed across the two communities. The project significantly improved nighttime visibility, mobility and security, while providing sustainable public lighting without dependence on the national electricity grid.
Beyond infrastructure, Elipse Group placed particular emphasis on economic empowerment. A total of 75 market women received business capital to strengthen and expand their existing enterprises, supporting household incomes and promoting greater economic participation within the communities.
To further strengthen local leadership and community administration, the company also provided vehicles to community leaders, improving their mobility and ability to attend to community affairs.

These initiatives, undertaken in July 2022, form part of Elipse Group’s broader philosophy that mineral development must create meaningful and lasting value for host communities. The Group believes that its responsibility extends beyond exploration and mining to improving livelihoods, supporting local enterprise and contributing to essential infrastructure in the areas where it operates.
“For Elipse, responsible mining means ensuring that the communities hosting our operations can see and experience tangible benefits from our presence. Access to clean water, lighting, economic opportunity and stronger community institutions are investments in people and in the long-term sustainability of our operations.”»
Through its continuing engagement with host communities, Elipse Group remains committed to building partnerships founded on respect, inclusion, sustainable development and shared prosperity.
